Every home and business in the UK has the right to connect up to 3.68 kW (AC) to the grid, without needing permission. For less than 3.68kW, you'll need a G98 notification, available here.
DNO's can take a long time to process G99 applications - below is a guide to the estimated timelines - it's best to apply as early as possible.
G99 fast track applications: 1-4 weeks. 7.2 kW - 16.66 kW per phase: 45 working days. 50 kW+ : 45 working days+
This service does not include charges or fees from the DNO - typically for applications above 50 kW or if upgrades to the local grid are required.
